We spent the better part of the spring doing major house maintainence. We've been here 18 years now and several things just needed TLC. We replaced all the areas on the house that had siding with Hardiplank (wonderful stuff!) and put a patio door into our bedroom in anticipation of the spa Stan has been asking for since we got married (20 years now!) and we built a children's garden with a water feature and I put a smaller water feature in the front yard as well. It was financed with the money I saved not buying candles since January!

The children's garden pond is an old hot tub shell (generously donated by my brother Jeff) converted with a pond liner into a beautiful water feature. The fish & plants love it! It's my moment of Zen everyday.
